OECD Complaint Against Drax Filed
We are encouraged to see the significant media interest and coverage of the complaint we have filed against Drax Group Plc under the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises. In the complaint, we set out why Drax’s statements about the carbon neutrality of its energy and its low impact on the environment are misleading. It is vital that these issues are taken seriously and considered as part of future net-zero plans by the UK government.
The coverage of our complaint in the Financial Times, the New Statesman, Économie and the Global Legal Post will help to ensure that consumers and policy makers alike are alive to these issues and the true environmental cost of Drax’s woody biomass energy. We also love that Greta Thunberg retweeted a post linking to the FT article.
