Strong Media coverage of OECD Complaint
We, alongside other environmental groups, have filed a complaint at the OECD against the UK’s largest carbon emitter, Drax Group plc, arguing that the energy giant’s claims that burning trees for energy benefits the climate mislead consumers and violate rules on responsible business conduct.
The landmark complaint was filed by The Lifescape Project and The Partnership for Policy Integrity, under the banner of the Forest Litigation Collaborative. It is supported by NGOs Conservation North (Canada), Biofuelwatch (UK) and Save Estonia’s Forests (Estonia). Law firm Mishcon de Reya LLP are the legal advisors to The Lifescape Project and The Partnership for Policy Integrity.
